I have been on Humira since late April. It has worked wonders in improving my RA symptoms. The past month or so I've had itching on my upper legs and hips mostly. It is NOT an injection-site reaction. The itchiness is nowhere near where I injected the Humira. I thought it was bug bites, but since no one else in my family has suffered i'm beginning to blame the Humira. I have scratched this "rash" or whatever it is and thus have large bruises on my thighs. I normally don't bruise easily. Is the Humira to blame? Anyone know? I will see my dr next month and will ask him - just thought I'd throw it out there to you knowledgeable ladies.

Thank you!

Hey Denise,

I want you to call your doctor now and just ask about it.  I was having some bruising/itching on my calves, but didn't correlate it to Enbrel.  My doctor said it could be an allergic reaction to Enbrel or a strep infection.  I noticed it was happening the day after I did injections (doing 2 shots 1 time a week), so I have now changed to 1 shot every 3 1/2 days, and it went away.  PLEASE call your doc and just ask about it.  Don't wait for your appointment.  I don't want you have a bad reaction to your meds!

I think on Enbrel, (not sure about Humira), there is a danger warning about bruising.

Let me know how it goes!
