Even though it is expensive, I love the Mountain Buggy Urban stroller. We have the double, but the same goes for the single. It is an all-terrain with big, air-filled wheels. The front wheel can swivel or be fixed. You can steer it on a dime. It is good both for going on walks outside and taking to malls. The double fits through a standard doorway. I have to walk with a cane a lot, and I can really push it one-handed. It is also light, and not so bad to put in and out of the car, although if you have a sedan, it takes up a lot of the trunk. The only complaint I have about it is that the break is hard to release. Other than that it is the best all-around stroller we have found (we've tried a bunch).

A cheap (not more than $20) umbrella stroller. I like the Kolcraft one best (I got ours at Babies R Us) because it comes with a mesh bag that snaps on the back which is handy to have. It is very light weight, so easy to take in and out of the car. We usually keep one in the car to have for those trips to the mall or whatnot, when we need a stroller, but don't need a heavier one. Also, great for traveling b/c you don't have to worry about it being destroyed by the baggage handlers at gate check.

This is another fairly expensive option, but I like the Phil & Ted's e3 buggy.  (If you were to buy only this instead of a travel system, umbrella, double, etc it doesn't end up being too much more.)  It is one of the only strollers that can go from a single to a double.  I initially had a bugaboo because it was one of the lightest weight full size strollers I could find.  Had I known about the e3 I would've gotten that from the start.  It is easy to use, lightweight, very versitile, cheaper than the bugaboo, and stylish to boot.  The large wheels make it so easy to maneuver...pushing the stroller gives me a bit of support actually making it easier to walk.  I did a ton of research looking for a stroller that could do everything so that I wouldn't have to buy more than one.  This is about as close to perfect as I could find.

By the way, this is my first post after discovering this site.  I am so happy to have stumbled across it.  I sure wished I could've talk to other moms with RA about what baby products make life easier.

Just wondering if these strollers are easy to get in and out of the car / trunk too.  Looking for something lightweight, easy to steer, and easy to open/close.

I found a GREAT lightweight stroller:  Peg Perego Aria.  It weighs only 9 lbs!  It's a little tricky to close, it claims you'll be able to do it with one hand, but having RA I have to use both hands.  I chose this one because it's much lighter than all the alternatives.  In fact, the stroller that accompanies my car seat is 40 lbs!  Really!?!? Why is that necessary.  Hope this helps.
