I had Grave's Disease (hyperthyroid) a few years ago, had my thyroid radiated, so now I'm hypothyroid. I've had a hard time keeping my thyroid just right. My body definitely likes it at the high end of normal. If I am too low (even low normal range), I don't sleep. If I am too high, I don't sleep. In different ways though.... one I can't fall asleep, the other I fall asleep and wake too early (maybe 2-3 hours asleep, but typically feeling like it's morning). Weird stuff!

No I usually sleep like a rock unless something wakes me like a kid or a dog or I have to pee. They check my blookwork every 6 mnths and nothing ever comes up...I have often wondered about it but both Dr.s say its fine. My dad was treated for hyper-thyroidism so i thought initially that might have something to do with it. deb

Just out of curiosity, are you awake at night a lot due to pain? and have you had your thyroid checked?

I don't know what the itching thing is, but it gets annoying off and on. I wonder if it's meds, but I don't know. It seems to come and go, can be tiny little bumps that come from nowhere, or big itchy areas that feel hard under my skin (especially on my schins... hmmm.... how do you spell that?), then it just goes away. It seems to happen in cycles, but I can't figure out what the trigger is. So far, I'm not putting it high on my radar, as it doesn't bother me as much as other weird things with my body that do need addressing. We'll see what time brings.
Love to all!
Lori

Narcolepsy? Wow! No, I never heard of people with RA getting that. Keep us posted! That's a new one, and I don't know a thing about it!
